TAMANGO
Saturday 13 sep
A game of shadow puppets, a caravan moving to the rhythm of gypsy jazz, a soft choir rising louder and louder through the streets. Tamango are the most Parisian creatures ever born in Piedmont — a strange blend of poets and musicians, wonderfully retro, but romantic like few others in Italy.
Unlike all the 19th-century trend cosplayers, they’ve got talent to spare. And you’d only need to catch a glimpse of one of their shows to get it — a full-blown spectacle, a shared moment of pure joy, a stream of words and notes mixing together with no hierarchy at all.
On September 13, for the first time ever, Tamango’s raw creative spirit will take the stage at Poplar.
