MADRA SALACH
Sunday 13 Sep
At the beginning of 2026, Madra Salach burst onto the international scene with their debut EP, It’s a Hell of an Age. Rooted deeply in the traditions of Irish folk music yet never bound by them, it’s a record that celebrates a vast cultural heritage while pushing it into thrilling new territory. It didn’t take long for the Dublin six-piece to become one of the most talked-about names in Ireland’s independent music scene.
Maybe it’s their raw, visceral energy. Maybe it’s the unmistakable punk spirit they inherit from bands like The Pogues. Whatever the reason, Madra Salach—Irish for “dirty dog”—already feel like something truly special. Half a dozen songs were all it took to win us over completely.
On September 13, they’ll make their Poplar debut, bringing a gloriously muddy celebration of Ireland’s past, present, and future to the stage at Doss.
