GANS

Friday 11 Sep

Approach GANS with caution. You might find yourself pulled into a whirlwind of dark, danceable post-punk—unmistakably British, gloriously rough around the edges. Euan Woodman and Thomas Rhodes keep things deceptively simple: bass, drums, and a wall of synths tying everything together. That’s all they need.

There are only two of them, but they hit with the force of a band twice the size. Their debut album, Good for the Soul, is already a remarkably assured statement, shifting effortlessly between moments of glorious sonic destruction and hooks that lean unapologetically into pop. Through it all, Euan and Thomas throw themselves around the stage in vests and shiny tracksuits as if they were walking a high-fashion runway.

On September 11, Doss belongs to GANS. Expect bruises, expect sweat, expect a proper post-punk pogo. Knee pads are strongly recommended.
